Research and planning for currently untitled TV pilot

Foreword for Film and Moving Image portfolio   Detailed below is the current version of my planning and research for my next college project. Having full control and no restrictions to what I make, I have decided to make a love letter to the campy, low-budget horror and sci-fi films of the 80's I have grown up with. For this project I am writing and eventually producing a pilot episode as I believe there's more opportunity to parody different films and styles in a non-linear, short episodic format.  I plan on starting the pilot's screenplay soon and to be finished within a month, pre-production and casting within the next 2 months and production to have started by mid to late March. No further episodes past the pilot are in the works presently. A treatment draft has been finished and finalised as the base outline of the plot - 12/02/2022 Please note:   In its current form these notes are still incomplete but mostly finalised. All research and references recorded are ...

Screenplay: The Lunch Club (working title)

For my second year of college I had to write a 15-20 page screenplay extract for a feature film and pitch the idea professionally. My idea was to take a step away from my comfort zone and write a teen coming-of-age dramedy, with most of the characters based on real people and their situations to give it some authenticity and capture what an average day in the life of a college student is. For my presentation  I had to cover 4 different aspects of the screenplay, its purpose, the overview, audience research and character profiles. Within the presentation is all the market and audience research I did for the screenplay as well as a full overview of the films plot and character development.

DepicT! 90 second short: To Dip or Not to Dip

'To Dip or Not to Dip' was the first college production I had full creative control over. Written by, directed by and starring me as the party police, this production plagued my group with a multitude of technical and location-based problems, resulting in the film having to be re-shot over 3 hours in a new location, sound having to be ditched for a subtitled silent film and a missed editing deadline. Despite these setbacks I think we managed to make a decently shot, charming short film with a unique premise leading up to an appetising finish. Pre-production   For this film we also had to do pre-production so we got the full professional experience of working on a production. This included releases, recces, budgeting and scheduling among others.
